Location:

Albert is in the Department of the Somme. The BAPAUME POST MILITARY CEMETERY is about 2 kilometres north-east of town on the right-hand side of the main road, D929, to Bapaume.

  • Sherbrooke Monument– Cover of the original program distributed at the unveiling of the Sherbrooke WWI memorial on November 7th, 1926, and two images of the monument.   The monument was designed by Mr. G. W. Hill of Montreal, Quebec with bronze figures cast in Belgium and granite from the Stanstead district.  The bronze Memorial tablet lists 249 names.
  • Roll of Honour– Canadian National Railways - World War One Roll of Honour. Acting Bombardier Arthur Clifford Major enlisted in Ottawa in July 1915.  Born in Sherbrooke, Quebec, Major had three years of previous experience as a Corporal with the 53rd (Sherbrooke) Regiment.   In honoured memory.
