Additional information
Baptized Joseph-Georges-Alphonse Bouchard. Son of Georges-Émile Bouchard (deceased in 1919) and Célanire Claveau, of Québec, Québec. He stated being born in Québec on 9 January 1894 when he enlisted.

Enlisted in the 69th Reserve Battalion of the Canadian Expeditionary Force, he was transferred to the 22nd Battalion in England on 28 August 1916. Arriving in France on 20 September, he had to fight at Bully-Grenay, Lens, Angres, Vimy, again at Lens, for the Catapult trench, at Caestre, at Passchendeale, in Belgium, at Méricourt, Liévin-Lens, Neuville-Vitasse and Amiens, in France. He was killed in action on 27 August 1918 during the Battle of Chérisy.

Take the D38 from Cherisy to Hendecourt. Approximately 2 kilometres from Cherisy turn left just before Sun Quarry Cemetery onto a dirt track. Continue for 1 kilometre before turning left to arrive at Quebec Cemetery.
