Son of William and Mary Ann Brown, of Curling, Newfoundland. Native of Toronto, Ontario. Private James Michael BROWN belonged to E Company. He was a son of Mr. William J. BROWN of Curling, Bay of Islands. Excerpt from St. John's Daily News, 1916.

AZMAK CEMETERY is on the south side of Azmak Dere, a watered ravine which runs south-westward into the north side of the Salt Lake. I enclose an information sheet on The Gallipoli Peninsula, which I hope you will find to be of interest.
