Has done very excellent work with the
Bttn since Nov.1915.  On the 8th Oct,
1916 at the Somme he displayed great
gallantry and courage remaining with his
Lewis Gun until he was the only one of
the crew left.
He still carried on with great devotion
to duty until relieved.
