Son of the late L/Cpl Thomas Henry Betts #894, deceased 20 June 1915 while serving with the Canadian Army Service Corps and Margaret Betts of Montreal, Quebec. Brother of Armitage Henry and nephew of Malcolm and Robert Betts, both who served in the First World War.
