Royal Canadian Mounted Police
Cpl. Galloway’s passion was being a dog handler. He helped organize the civilian Search And Rescue (SAR) dog association in Alberta, and was a pioneer in SAR training methods, as well as cadaver searching. Cpl. Galloway was married, had 3 children and 8 grandchildren. He enjoyed fishing, and owned small picture framing business. Cpl. Galloway crashed his police vehicle into a pickup in an attempt to get it to roll over, but it did not. He got out of his police vehicle and was running for cover when he was shot.
