S/Cst. Myers was qualified to fly both fixed-wing and rotary wing aircraft. An investigation revealed that the helicopter had hit an unmarked suspension cable which was virtually impossible to see against the wooded background. He was married with two children.
Commemorated on Page 171 of the Royal Canadian Mounted Police Honour Roll Book.
