Baptized Louis-Joseph Lévesque. Son of Joseph Lévesque and Marie Lebel, of St-François-de-Madawaska, New-Brunswick. Husband of Dorothy Albert, of Waterville and Augusta, Maine. He stated being born in 1884, and widowed (no child) when he enlisted. However, he got married in 1898, was the father of two sons, one born in 1912 and the second born in 1915, three months after he departed overseas. His wife never remarried, she died in 1991 at 107 years-old.

Doullens is a town in the Department of the Somme, approximately 30 kilometres north of Amiens on the N25 road to Arras.

The DOULLENS COMMUNAL CEMETERY and EXTENSIONS lie on the eastern side f the town, about 270 metres south-east of the road to Arras.
