Additional information

Baptized Harold-Weare Borland. Son of David-Ray Borland (deceased in 1909) and Charlotte Weare. Married to Georgiana Godin in 1905, he was father of two children in the 1911 census.

He was in a Divisionary school building in Lières when the roof collapsed. He died five days later at General Hospital n° 1 in Étaples.

Etaples is a town about 27 kilometres south of Boulogne. The Etaples Military Cemetery is to the north of the town, on the west side of the road to Boulogne.
