Additional information
Baptized Joseph-Edmond-Edgar Houle. Son of Alcide Houle and Alma Bibeau, of St-Félix-de-Kingsey, Drummond, Québec. He stated being born on the 28th when he enlisted.

Severely wounded from shrapnel in the left thigh during the assault on the village of Élouges, on 7 November 1918, he was evacuated to No 8 General Hospital in Camiers where he died of his wounds.

Etaples is a town about 27 kilometres south of Boulogne. The Etaples Military Cemetery is to the north of the town, on the west side of the road to Boulogne.
