Additional information
Son of Jules Blouin and Alphonsine Labonté (deceased in 1897). His father remarried to Delvina Lemelin in 1899 and became widowed again in 1906. He then remarried, to Rose Boutin in 1908 and he successively lived in St-Philémon-de-Bellechasse, St-Gervais-de-Bellechasse and St-Anselme-de-Dorchester, Québec.

When he transferred to France, Arthur Blouin was deployed to the 22nd Battalion but he never joined this unit. After two weeks, he was re-assigned to another infantry unit the 5th Canadian Mounted Rifles. Severely wounded to the head near Monchy-le-Preux , on 28 August 1918, he died the next day at Casualty clearing station n° 1, then located in the village of Ligny.

LIGNY-ST. FLOCHEL BRITISH CEMETERY Pas de Calais, France

Ligny-St.Flochel is a village about 6.5 kilometres east of St.Pol on the main road to Arras. The distance from Ligny-St. Flochel to Arras is approximately 24 kilometres. The Ligny-St.Flochel British Cemetery is situated to the south of the village on the east side of the road to the village of Averdoingt.
