Additional information
Son of Florimond Charlebois (deceased in 1914) and Virginia Dubois, of Rockland, Russell, Ontario. He stated being born in Plaisance, Outaouais, Québec, on 25 March 1897, when he enlisted.

Arrived to the 22nd Battalion on 17 March 1916, he served with them at the front during four months and was then attached to the Light Trench Mortar Battery, before being permanently transferred to this unit on 2 October 1917.
