Adopted son of Honoré Bergeron (deceased in 1902) and Blandine Paradis (remarried to William Henry Connolly in 1906), they lived in Asbestos, Richmond, and Drummondville, Québec.

He was killed in action on 8 December 1916 in the Mecknes trenches between Angres and Lens, Pas-de-Calais, France.
