Son of Arsène Beaulieu-dit-Hudon (deceased in 1900) and Zoé Boucher, of Québec. He stated being born in 1890 when he enlisted.
He enrolled on 22 March 1916 to serve overseas but he was serving in Canada since 12 January 1916.
