Reference RG150, 1992-93/314, 161. Page 941 and 939 of 1024. Private Russell Clark Cambell’s record was torn and appears in two parts. The full text reads: While advancing to the village of Boiry Notre Dame, an enemy shell exploded close to him, a large fragment of it hitting him in the body, causing instant death. -
Inscription
His name as it is inscribed on the Vimy Memorial. Over 11,000 fallen Canadians having no known place of burial in France, are honoured on this Memorial. May they never be forgotten. (J. Stephens)
