This is Wigston Magna War Memorial, Leicestershire. Douglas H Sibson's name is commemorated on the left hand panel, 21 names down from the top. He was born in a public house "The Craddock Arms", Knighton near Leicester where his father, John, was the licensee; his mother was Elizabeth Sibson. He emigrated to Canada around 1907 to join his older brother Leonard and worked as a farmer. He enlisted on 8th January 1915 at Melville, Saskatchewan. -
