Newspaper Clipping
Pte. Colin McLeod Sinclair enlisted with the First Canadian Contingent at Valcartier Camp in Quebec on September 18th, 1914. His father was named as his next-of-kin and living at 297 Sumach St., Toronto, Ontario. His brother, Pte. Alexander Thompson Sinclair, 34669, is also mentioned in this article. He gave the same next-of-kin information, and both men indicated that they were carpenters. Alexander Sinclair enlisted on September 23rd, 1914 at Valcartier Camp. He survived the war. -

The memorial on Observatory Ridge was unveiled and dedicated on 22 October 2011 to commemorate the actions of the 15th Battalion CEF (48th Highlanders of Canada) on 3 June 1916 during the Battle of Mount Sorrel.
