Baptized Pierre-de-Villaret Baillargé. He resided with his step-brother, reverend Frédéric-Alexandre Baillairgé, in Verchères, when he enlisted. Son of George-Frédéric Baillairgé (deceased in 1909) and late Alphonsine Lefrançois. His father was deputy minister of Public Works Canada from 1879 to 1890 and was quite active until his death.
He was transferred to the 22nd Battalion on 24 novembre 1917 which was already in the front line in the Passchendaele sector (West Flanders). On 4 février 1918 he was at the front at Méricourt, Pas-de-Calais (France). He was killed in action on 12 mai 1918 in the Neuville-Vitasse area, Pas-de-Calais.

Wailly is a village in the Department of the Pas-de-Calais about 6 kilometres south-west from Arras in the valley of the little river Crinchon. WAILLY ORCHARD CEMETERY stands above the village on its outskirts in part of the old orchard.
