Born Henri Galin-alias-Camaillou. Son of Baptiste Galin-alias-Camaillou and Marie Bonnet, of Aulus-les-Bains, Ariège, France.

His battalion was in brigade support, south-east of Agny, and was sent on fatigue duty to improve the trenches of Telegraph Hill Switch, near Neuville-Vitasse. Henri was killed while on fatigue duty. His first name is spelled “Henry” in the First World War Book of Remembrance.

Wailly is a village in the Department of the Pas-de-Calais about 6 kilometres south-west from Arras in the valley of the little river Crinchon. WAILLY ORCHARD CEMETERY stands above the village on its outskirts in part of the old orchard.
