He embarked in Halifax, Nova Scotia, on 20 May 1915 and arrived in Plymouth, England, on 29. He set foot in Boulogne, Pas-de-Calais, France, on 15 September and was gunshot and wounded on 10 October 1915. After being evacuated to England, he returned to France on 25 May 1916 and went back to the front line on the 31st.
Severely wounded during the Battle of Courcelette, Narcisse was evacuated to No. 2 Field ambulance in Hérissart and died there soon after being admitted.
