Pte. William Patrick Burns was born on March 13th, 1893. He enlisted in the 91st Battalion on September 13th, 1915 in St. Thomas, Ontario. At that time his father was living at 45 Manitoba Street in St. Thomas. Pte. Burns listed his occupation as brickmaker and had no prior military experience.

BAGNEUX BRITISH CEMETERY Somme, France
Gezaincourt is a village in the Department of the Somme, situated 2 kilometres to the south-west of the town of Doullens, and BAGNEUX BRITISH CEMETERY lies to the south of the village. There is a Commonwealth War Graves Commission signpost in Gezaincourt village opposite the Chateau entrance.
