Canadian National Railways - World War One Roll of Honour. Major Edward Ware Joy enlisted in July 1916. He had served with the 106th (Nova Scotia) Rifles, a C.E.F unit based in Truro, Nova Scotia. This unit was later broken up for reinforcements at the front. A Locomotive Engineer, Joy was born in the city of Halifax, Nova Scotia. His wife, Bessie Joy, was named as his next-of-kin at Truro. In honoured memory.
