This is an image of a temporary wooden cross, the type that would have been originally erected during the burial, and often specially made and constructed by fellow soldiers. This would have been Lt.-Col. Kemball's original cross, later to be replaced by stone markers by the Commonwealth War Graves Commission. I've posted this image in dedication to the Lt.-Col. Kemball and the Kemball family.
