Son of Elizabeth Pearson of Stratford, Ontario. Brother of Robert Harvey Pearson who died on March 21, 1918 while serving with the Canadian Infantry (Central Ontario Regiment).

Brass shoulder badges, dog tag and other insignia returned with personal effects to the family of M A Pearson. The dog tag shows the number assigned upon his enlistment on August 3, 1915 later replaced with a six digit regimental number.

Circumstances of Death Report returned to M A Pearson's family along with shell fragments included with personal effects.
