Mary Ann Fownes, wife of Isaac James Fownes.

Isaac James Fownes served in the British army with the 42nd BTY Royal Field Artillery during the South African War of 1899 - 1902. He saw action at Elandslaagte and the seige of Ladysmith. He emigrated to Canada in 1914.

HINGES MILITARY CEMETERY Pas de Calais, France
Hinges is a village and commune in the Pas-de-Calais some 5 kilometres north-west of Bethune. The HINGES MILITARY CEMETERY is on the southern side of the village adjoining the Communal Cemetery. From the church in Hinges head south west on the Rue de Bethune. The HINGES MILITARY CEMETERY is 400 metres from the church on the left hand side.
