Military Cross, London Gazette No. 29837 dated 24 November 1916 "For conspicuous gallantry in action. He led his company with great courage and initiative, gaining his objective. Later, he organised and consolidated the position with great skill. He set a splendid example to his men."

THELUS MILITARY CEMETERY Pas de Calais, France
Thelus is a village in the Department of the Pas-de-Calais, west of the N17 Arras-Lens main road and 6.5 kilometres north of Arras. Thelus Military Cemetery is approximately 300 metres west of the N17, located in the open country, about 50 metres north of Thelus village.
