Son of James and Mary Murphy; husband of Sarah Henderson. Brother of James Murphy and Mary Wardle. Pte Henderson served ten years with the Royal Scots. He was discharged on 20 October 1916 in Esquimalt, British Columbia as no longer fit for service.

Born in Edinburgh Scotland on Oct. 28th 1884. He enlisted at Vancouver BC on Nov. 18th 1914 listing prior military service of 10 years in the Royal Scotts. He listed his occupation as "Cook" He died at Vancouver BC on Oct. 31st 1918 at the age of 34.
