WALLACE HUGH CHALKER was born on 12th June 1881 Exeter, Devon, UK. Wallace was the son of James Bolt Chalker and Bessie Ann Chalker (nee Allen). His siblings were Florence Lucy Chalker Allen - born1875, Ada Mary Chalker 1879, Harriet Chalker 1883, David James Chalker 1886, Minnie Chalker 1888, Bessie Chalker 1891 and Dora Agnes Chalker 1898. Wallace emigrated on June 11th 1903 from Liverpool aboard 'Tunisia'. He arrived in Buffalo, New York on March 3rd 1905. Wallace's occupation was given as 'Cabinet Maker' He began his military service on Nov 16th 1914 at Edmonton, Alberta, Canada when he enlisted in the Canadian Army. -
