Baptized Joseph-Léandre-Eusèbe Loiseau. Son of Eusèbe Loiseau (deceased in 1914) and Marie-Louise Masson, of Montréal, Québec. He had declared to be born in 1885 when he enlisted.

Seriously wounded in the leg in the St. Eloi trenches at Ypres, he was evacuated on June 12th, 1916 to No. 8 Stationary Hospital at Wimereux. He died of his wounds there two weeks later.
