This is Wigston Magna War Memorial, Leicestershire. Walter Bennett's name is commemorated on the right hand panel 7th name from the top. He was born in Wigston Magna. His parents were William & Lucy Hannah Bennett who had taken their family to Canada before the War and settled in Toronto. He enlisted on 4th Oct 1915 at Toronto and worked as a grocer. His younger brother, Hector McDonald Bennett also died in service with the Canadian Army in 1918.

ZOUAVE VALLEY CEMETERY, SOUCHEZ Pas de Calais, France
Souchez is a village some 12 kilometres north of Arras on the main road to Bethune and ZOUAVE VALLEY CEMETERY is one mile south-east of the village. It lies in the valley which extends southwards from Souchez on the western side of Vimy Ridge.
