Brother of Private George Lomax, who died on August 24, 1917, while serving with the Canadian Infantry (Alberta Regiment) and brother of Private William Lomax, who died on January 1, 1919, while serving with the Canadian Infantry (Alberta Regiment).

Banff (Alberta) War Memorial. Erected by the Mount Rundle chapter of the I.O.D.E. and unveiled September 2nd, 1923 near the Great War Veterans' Association Memorial Hall on Banff avenue. It was made of stone from Mount Rundle. The current memorial includes a pair of World War Two panels with 29 names on either side of a central panel listing 52 World War One names. It is now located at the front wall of the Royal Canadian Legion, Colonel Moore Branch #26, on Banff avenue.

BARLIN COMMUNAL CEMETERY Pas de Calais, France
Barlin is a village about 11 kilometres south-west of Bethune on the D188, between the Bethune-Arras and Bethune-St. Pol roads, about 6.5 kilometres south-east of Bruay. The BARLIN COMMUNAL CEMETERY and EXTENSION lie to the north of the village on the D171 road to Houchin.
