Baptized Arthur-Albéric Dulac. Son of Caroline Robitaille (deceased in 1898) and Aristide Dulac (remarried in 1901 to Mélina Cayer), of Sorel, Richelieu, Québec.

Brother of Private Albert Dulac, service number 4035484. He never fought.

Enlisted in the 69th Battalion of the Canadian Expeditionary Force, he crossed over to England on April 17, 1916, arriving in Liverpool on the 27th. He was transferred to the 22nd Battalion on October 13, 1916, and landed in France on the 14th. Wounded in action during the Battle of Lens, Pas-de-Calais, on April 13, 1917, he was evacuated to England on the 17th. From June 6 to August 2, 1917, he was assigned to the 2nd Canadian Convalescent Depot in Shoreham. On the 2nd, he was temporarily assigned to the 10th Reserve Battalion before returning to the 22nd Battalion on November 24. On December 5, 1917, he returned to the front line. He was killed in action on August 10, 1918, during the Battle of Amiens in Méharicourt.

Vrely is a village 32 kilometres East of Amiens, immediately South of Rosieres-en-Santerre. The Communal Cemetery Extension adjoins the rear of the Communal Cemetery which is West of the village on the road to Caix.
