Photo of Richard James Brown
left Liverpool for a life of adventure in Canada. He joined up in the Canadian Overseas Expeditionary Force, 46th Battalion, in April 1915. He was sent to fight in France. He seemed to have survived Vimy Ridge and died at Fresnoy, in the Canadian Infantry (Saskatchewan) Regiment, 28th Battalion. He had two sisters, Isobella & Agnes and a half-brother William, who was 8 yrs.old in 1917 when Richard was killed. -
