Burial/memorial information
Enlisted in the 41st Battalion, Canadian Expeditionary Force, he arrived in Plymouth, England, on 29 June 1915. Initially transferred to the 23rd Battalion, he was transferred to the 22nd Battalion on 10 September. He crossed into Boulogne, Pas-de-Calais, France, on the 15th and was immediately sent to the front line. He was reported missing in action on 17 September 1916 during the Battle of Courcelette, then officially declared presumed killed in action.

Memorial
His name as it is inscribed on the Vimy Memorial. Over 11,000 fallen Canadians having no known place of burial in France, are honoured on this Memorial. May they never be forgotten. (J. Stephens) -
