Canada's Vimy Memorial, located approximately 8 kilometres to the north-east of Arras, France. May the sacrifice of so many never be forgotten. (J. Stephens) -
A brief report that appeared in the Barrie Examiner newspaper (at page 1) on May 3, 1917. Originally a member of the 157th Battalion (Simcoe Foresters), Sergeant Chester Pettit MM was serving in the 10th Battalion (Canadians) when he was killed in action in the Vimy area.
