Graves registration form
Concentration of Graves COG-BR document that resulted in the "Believed to Be" identification of Sgt. W. Thompson, whose remains were found at trench map coordinates 57d.R.34.b.39.90. That location is southwest of Courcelette and due east of the Mouquet Farm. On 16 September 1916, the 42nd Canadian Infantry Battalion (7th Brigade, 3rd Canadian Division), was in that precise location in their attack on the Fabeck Graben Trench on the 15th and the subsequent attack on the Zollen Graben Trench on the 16th. -
