Charles Lacey Jones was born in Poplar London, England in 1892. He was the son of Master Mariner John Valentine Jones. Charles travelled to Saint John, New Brunswick where he stayed with his older brother Arthur Jones who was by this time a resident of Saint John NB.<P> Charles enlisted in the Canadian Infantry and returned to Europe. Charles was killed in action 6th April 1916 he is remembered on the Menin Gate Memorial at Ypres, Belgium. -
