Southampton Cenotaph
Joseph Lionel Tranter is remembered on the Southampton Cenotaph. This war memorial includes plaques with the names of men from World Wars 1 & 2. The WWI list is inscribed: "In grateful remembrance of the men of Southampton who fought and died in the Great War". Southampton is in Bruce County, Ontario and is the oldest port on the Bruce Coast. This photograph was taken by Mr. Clive Freeman in the summer of 2002. -
Memorial
His name as it is inscribed on the Vimy Memorial. Over 11,000 fallen Canadians having no known place of burial in France, are honoured on this Memorial. May they never be forgotten. (J. Stephens) -
