Baptized Henri-Émery Lorrain. Son of Émery Lorrain and Justine Hétu, and husband of Rose-Alba Charpentier, all of Montréal, Québec. He was the father of three children when he went overseas and all three became adults. His wife never remarried and died in 1939.
