This photo is of the men from Elgin, Manitoba who were members of the 79th Overseas Batallion during WWI. Of the 19 men in this photo, the following 9 men died in action during the war: Frank James, Clifford Honeyman, John Spratt, Reuben Wilson, Edward Thorpe, William Passmore, Charles Webster, Kenneth Conacher, and William Marshall. -
Memorial
His name as it is inscribed on the Vimy Memorial. Over 11,000 fallen Canadians having no known place of burial in France, are honoured on this Memorial. May they never be forgotten. (J. Stephens)
