Lt Geoffrey Allan Snow was originally an officer in the 92nd Battalion (48th Highlanders) before being sent in a reinforcement draft to the 15th Battalion (48th Highlanders) and is shown here in the uniform of the 92nd Battalion. He was killed in action during the 15th Battalion's assault on Regina Trench, Thiepval Ridge near Courcelette on 26 Sept 1916.

Of the six Officers in the photograph, three would be killed in action: Lt EM Haldane (standing left) at Hill 70 in August 1917; Lt BM Loudon (standing centre) at The Crow's Nest in Sept 1918 and Lt Geoffrey Snow at Regina Trench in September 1916.

ADANAC MILITARY CEMETERY Somme, France
Miraumont is a village about 14.5 kilometres north-north-east of Albert and the Cemetery is some 3 kilometres south of the village on the east side of the road to Courcelette (D107). The ADANAC MILITARY CEMETERY is signposted in the centre of Miraumont.
