Maurice Crehan was a member of the Royal Canadian Infantry Corps, he died while serving with the Royal Irish Fusiliers (Princess Victoria's) as a CANLOAN Officer. Son of Matthew Joseph and Mercy Ellen Crehan, of Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada; husband of Pamela Crehan, of Vancouver.

SANTERNO VALLEY WAR CEMETERY Italy

SANTERNO VALLEY WAR CEMETERY is about 32 kilometres south-west of Imola and a little south of the main road from Imola to Fiorenzuola. Imola is a town on the main road halfway between Bologna and Forli.

Leave the highway A1 at Roncobilacchio and proceed in the direction of Futa - Fiorenzuola. Go past Fiorenzuola and carry on towards Imola. The SANTERNO VALLEY WAR CEMETERY, which is approximately 13 kilometres further on, will be seen on top of the hill on the right hand side.

The cemetery is permanently open and may be visited outside the working hours of the local gardening staff, but will be unmanned.

The local gardening staff working hours are as follows:
From first Monday in April:
Monday to Thursday: 07.30 to 12.00 and 13.00 to 16.45
Friday: 07.30 to 12.00 and 13.00 to 15.30
From first Monday in October:
Monday to Thursday: 08.00 to 12.00 and 13.00 to 16.00
Friday: 08.00 to 12.00 and 13.00 to 15.00.
