Son of Christopher Pennycuick and Dora Margaret (nee Smales) Bartlett, of Fort Qu'Appelle, Saskatchewan. Brother of Dick. Bartlett Lake, thirty air miles northeast of La Ronge was named for Wing Commander Bartlett. In 1999, fifteen members of his family visited Bartlett Lake, erected a plaque and raised their glasses in a champagne toast to Wing Commander Bartlett. He was originally buried at Givenchy-en Gohelle Cemetery, in France, and later re-buried at the Calais Canadian War Cemetery.
Additional citations

Wing Commander Christopher Bartlett received his first Distinguished Flying Cross while serving with #216 Squadron in Egypt. The Bar to his Distinguished Flying Cross was earned during an attack on Arras, France.
