2041 F/L Air Gunner Leonard Fitzgerald Jarvis (RMC 1928) was the son of Lieut.-Col. Arthur Leonard Fitzgerald Jarvis and Frances Geraldine Fitzgerald Jarvis of Ottawa, Ontario. He was the husband of Dorothy Elenita Wilson Jarvis of Ottawa, Ontario. He served with the Royal Canadian Air Force. He died on March 14, 1945 at 34 years of age. He was buried in the Lajes War Cemetery on the Island of Terceira, Azores.

LAJES WAR CEMETERY Azores
This cemetery, on the Island of Terceira, is about 1.5 kilometres from the town of Lajes and is some 22.5 kilometres from Angra, the principal town and only port on the island. It is situated in open country and on one side borders the main road from Angra to Lajes.
