Burial/memorial information

Additional information
Baptized Joseph-Arthur-Eusèbe Boisvert. Son of Gédéon-Olivier Boisvert and Clérida Pilote (deceased in 1910). His father remarried to Emma Cayen in 1912 and lived in Ottawa, Ontario. « Arthur » Boisvert was underage and enrolled under the first name « Albert », possibly to hide the truth; he also stated being born on 30 August 1897 when he enlisted.

Transferred from the 69th Reserve Battalion of the Canadian Expeditionary Force to the 22nd Battalion, he joined this unit at the Battle of the Somme, France, on 29 June 1916. He was reported missing, then presumed killed in action on 4 October 1916 for the capture of Regina Trench during the Battle of Courcelette.
