Son of Thomas Whitfield Colpitts and Jenny Alma Colpitts, of Forest Glen, New Brunswick. Brother of Private Bela Alonzo Colpitts who died on October 30, 1917, while serving with the 5th Canadian Mounted Rifles (Quebec Regiment).
