Image provided to Richard Laughton by David Archer. Captain Ferris is a candidate for Plot 8 Row J Grave 6 at the Adanac Military Cemetery near Courcelette, France. He was the only Captain of the 49th Battalion lost in the Great War and his name was inscribed on the Vimy Memorial. -

His name as it is inscribed on the Vimy Memorial (2010). Over 11,000 fallen Canadians having no known place of burial in France, are honoured on this Memorial. May they never be forgotten. (J. Stephens) -
