Husband of Laura Mitchell, of Montréal, Québec.
He got married in early 1914, and decided to join the 22nd Battalion in October. However, his wife did not support his decision to join and he was released a month later. He decided to re-enlist in 1915 with the 69th Battalion, stating he was single and born in Montreal.
