Private Charles Alfred "Chalf" Swarbrick with his family; left to right, son Charlie, wife Nancy, daughter Florence and daughter Ada. Son Ralph was "on the way". Picture was taken in August, 1915. Chalf left for Europe in September, 1915. He was killed in action on September 15, 1916. -

Memorial
His name as it is inscribed on the Vimy Memorial. Over 11,000 fallen Canadians having no known place of burial in France, are honoured on this Memorial. May they never be forgotten. (J. Stephens) -
