Burial/memorial information
Enlisted in the 57th Battalion of the Canadian Expeditionary Force as Paul Dion, he was assigned to the 41st Battalion before transferring to the 23rd Reserve Battalion. He arrived with this unit in Plymouth, England, on October 28, 1915. Transferred to the 22nd Battalion on April 15, 1916, he landed at Boulogne, Pas-de-Calais, France, on the 16th. He was killed in action on June 11, 1916, during the Battle of Zillebeke-Mont-Sorrel in the Ypres Salient, Belgium. His body was never found.
He served as Paul Dion and he is also commemorated on page 78 of the First World War Book of Remembrance.
